Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Professor of English Literature to join Wakanda Learning Hub. The ideal candidate will inspire learners through a deep exploration of classic and contemporary works, develop critical thinking and analytical skills, and foster a lifelong love for literature.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and/or advanced-level courses in English Literature, including poetry, prose, drama, and literary theory.
Develop and deliver engaging, student-centered lesson plans and course materials.
Mentor students in academic writing, critical analysis, and research projects.
Conduct scholarly research and contribute to the field through publications and presentations.
Participate in curriculum development and program enhancement activities.
Organize seminars, workshops, and literary discussions to enrich the learning experience.
Assess student progress through assignments, examinations, and individualized feedback.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Stay updated on new research, trends, and innovations in English Literature and education.
Requirements:
Ph.D. in English Literature, Comparative Literature, or a closely related field.
Previous teaching experience at a college, university, or learning hub preferred.
Strong record of research and publication is an advantage.
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Passion for literature and dedication to student success.
Ability to create an inclusive and respectful learning atmosphere.
